My student is already motivated. How can you help?

That’s great! Highly motivated students definitely have an edge. But they often overwork, get overly anxious, and experience overwhelm. That’s what our executive function know-how will address.

How long is the free introductory session?

About 20-60 minutes. We can discuss your needs, test the technology match, and/or present a mini-motivation lesson.

How do I select the best online tutoring package?

Your goals are the key. We have three packages:

  • The Starter, for a single task
  • The Star Player, for a short project
  • The Most Valued Learner & Thinker (MVLT), for knowledge & skill development

How will the online sessions be conducted?

All online tutoring sessions take place in Zoom meeting rooms. The URL and login information will be sent to you via email prior to the first session. Before that, you can test out Zoom to make sure your internet connection is working with this platform.

What technology do I need to participate in MMTC sessions?

We recommend using a computer that is less than 7 years old with an up-to-date processor, plenty of memory, a hard drive, and moderate CPU speed. We also recommend that you have access to a printer, if possible. But we have workarounds if you have technology issues.

What if my Internet connection is slow?

If your internet connection seems slow, first test the speed. Then, you can try these fixes.

What programs do I need on my computer?

We use PDF’s, Word Documents, PowerPoint, Excel, and short videos.

What materials will I need for my sessions?

In general, you’ll need writing tools, organizing supplies, and your computer. Your Tutor-Coach will send you a personalized materials checklist tailored to the subject(s) and/or skills that you are working on.

Do you offer group sessions?

Yes! We develop online, tailor-made IN-Powered© sessions for groups. Contact us to discuss your needs and ideas.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel a session?

If you give us a 24-hour notice, there’s no charge for either one. There’s a 50% charge for changes with less than a 24-hour notice.

“No shows” are charged at the full session rate.

Will you communicate with me about the sessions?

Yes! We send frequent reports via email. And we are happy to schedule conference calls. Please make sure that we have your current email address and phone number.
